She spent much of her school years in Florida, continuing her education through the end of 11th grade before graduating from Porter High School. Throughout her life, Cheyann carried a natural kindness and warmth, always striving to make others feel welcome, seen, and valued.

Cheyann later worked at McDonald’s as a cashier and server, where her friendly demeanor and genuine smile left a lasting impression on both customers and coworkers. She took pride in her work and believed deeply in the power of small acts of kindness. To many, she was more than an employee—she was a comforting presence and a reminder of compassion in everyday moments.

Above all else, Cheyann was a devoted mother. Her two-year-old daughter was the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life. Cheyann dreamed of creating a future filled with love, security, and opportunity for her child. She embraced motherhood with tenderness and strength, carrying its responsibilities with courage and unwavering devotion. Her love for her daughter was unconditional and profound.

On the morning of January 29, deputies responded to Cheyann’s residence in the Whitehorn Cove area after reports of an unconscious woman. She was tragically found deceased on her front porch, bearing severe injuries. Investigators indicated evidence of a brutal assault, and arrests were made as the investigation continues and the medical examiner works to determine the exact cause of death. The circumstances surrounding her passing are deeply heartbreaking and have shaken the community.

Yet Cheyann’s life is not defined by the tragedy of her final moments. She was a young woman with dreams, laughter, compassion, and a future that should have been long and full. She mattered. She deserved safety, peace, and happiness.
